A picture is worth......

Yes...this is Zach after his last game. He was so tired....I think he'd been so tired for about 4 days. I wanted him to take a shower before he went to bed. I was putting Allie in the tub and he kept whining that he didn't want to shower downstairs. He is scared of his tub a little bit. I kept telling him that he needed to because his sister was taking a bath upstairs. The whining went on for a while and I'll admit that I was half ignoring it....then I realized it had stopped and was really quiet. I couldn't hear water running so I figured he had snuck downstairs and turned on the tv....so I went to track him down and get him in the shower when I saw this on our stairs. This is where he was sitting doing the whining. Aparently he was more tired than I had realized. It takes a lot to fall asleep like this. Look at the poor kids neck! After I got Eli to come in and see how he'd fallen asleep we laughed a little....maybe a lot. Then we tried to wake him up. We shook him, moved him, clapped, you name it. The kid was out. I had to take a picture to remember. And what a boy....they just can't keep their hands out of their pants, even in their sleep.

Baseball 2011

Already the end of another baseball season. This year was a little more crazy than years before. Both boys are past t-ball but just enough apart that they aren't on the same league. For us that meant baseball every night of the week, whether it was practice or a game and usually when one boy was practicing, the other was playing. Needless to say we did A LOT of running across town over the last 6 weeks. It went so fast though. The weather definitely could have been better, which is also why I don't have very many pictures. I wasn't really up for sitting in the rain and snow with a camera (and neither was Gracie). So here is the best of what I have.

Zach and his new best buddy Kobe. They were in the same kindergarten class and are the best of buds. All season they couldn't wait to play each other, and FINALLY on the last day their teams met up.

It was so fun to watch Zach play this year. He loves baseball and loved being a big kid on a big team. His coach was awesome too....he had a million nicknames for him. "Big Z", "Zach Attack" and a bunch that I can't think of. The only problem was his team.....the Yankees. Seriously? The kid can't catch a break. He was the Raiders for football, now the Skankees. He was so disappointed. At one of his first practices I went to pick him up and as we were leaving he noticed that his coach was wearing a brand new hat. They hadn't been told what team they were yet. He turned around to his coach and said..."are we the Yankees this year?" and his coach yelled back "Ya...isn't that awesome?" Zach kept walking to the car, turned around and threw his hands up in the air and said "My dad HATES the Yankees" and hopped in the car. He cracks me up. I convinced him that it was ok, as long as he played hard like Jeter. At first him and Ty thought I said "like a cheater" hahahahaha....even funnier.

Ty played in the Minors this year and even got to pitch...once. He loved it. His confidence wasn't as high as it's been before. I think he was pretty intimidated by some of the older kids that have been playing longer. He kept right up with them though and has a really good eye for balls and strikes. It has been so fun to watch both boys start to "hang out" more together and I have loved looking into our back yard to see them perfecting their swings, or working on their pitching and hitting to each other. They really are such good friends which means more than anything to me.

4 Months old

Our little Gracie Bean is growing and growing. She is so much fun. It is so fun to watch her brothers and sister interact more and more with her now that she is "fun" to play with. She loves to talk and gets louder everyday. She still lights up everytime she hears or sees her dad but will smile and laugh for all of us. She is super ticklish, especially on her leg-meats. She loves sitting in her saucer now and is grabbing at everything in her reach...toys, hair, blankets, burp rags, noses, ears, you name it. I just wish she would sit a little more still when I try to clip her nails. She isn't sleeping as good as she used to, but still not bad. I started feeding her rice cereal and she HATES it. She gags and makes the weirdest upchuck noise as soon as it hits her tongue. I've never had a kid hate it so much. Non of my kids were big fans but there is no changing her mind. She is already to the point where she presses her lips shut when she sees the spoon coming. Not that I blame her. She loves being on her tummy and loves rolling over from her tummy to her back. When she's on her back she can turn in a circle by rolling her body to the side over and over again. She doesn't flip over but gets enough momentum with her legs that she scoots in a complete circle. She is still so content and happy and so much fun. We love her to death more and more every day.

3 month old pics...a lot bit late

I know I'm behind but I wanted to get these posted before I forget how old she is in the pictures. These are from when she was 3 months old.....it came and went so fast. It is KILLING ME that she is getting older. We started puting her in the saucer and she loves it. The first few times she played for a few minutes and then passed out....

Doesn't she look so sweet and peaceful??

She is such a happy little girl, I can't get over it. She smiles and laughs at everything...especially her dad. It is the cutest thing in the world.

She loves to hold onto blankets and all soft things. When she falls asleep she puts them up to her face and buries her nose in them. When she is fussy and I snuggle up to her, she waits until I kiss her forhead and then she relaxes. She'll push her face right up to mine and fall asleep. I love it. I just wish it could last a little longer.

Nasty

I know, gross....but he asked me to take it so I did. Our poor Tyler has had more teeth pulled in his 8 years than most people thanks to my horrible tooth genes. He woke up the other morning and told me something weird was going on in his mouth. I looked and he had a HUGE absess above his teeth. He said it didn't hurt at all. I got him right into the dentist and out the tooth came. Luckily this time it was just because his permanent molar is pushing to come in behind it so he won't need spacers or anything...fhew! So if you look close right by the dentist's finger is the nasty absess. He wanted the pic of the infection coming out since he couldn't watch it himself. He's so gross and he gets it from me which is probably even worse. For as nasty as it is, even I couldn't stop watching!

Griffin!

Two weeks ago we got to watch my sister, Jacque's, little guy Griffin while they went and played in Vegas for their anniversary. We got him for four days and had so much fun. This little (or not so much) guy had never spent a night away from his mom and dad. I was planning on some grumpy days but he was such a trooper and so happy! He just rode around our house on his four-wheeler all day and got to be Allie's life size doll to boss around and take care of. She kept wanting to hold him and he weighs as much as she does! It was so funny. We don't get to see them a whole lot so it was so fun for the kids to spend time with their cousin. The poor little guy was even cutting a bunch of teeth and was still happy. If I didn't have to carry a baby and a car seat full of another baby I even thought for a minute that I could someday have 5 kids.....but Eli reminded me real quick that I shouldn't think anymore. Haha.

He is so happy all of the time. I took tons more pics but they are all on my phone and I'm too special to know how to put those on my computer.

Yep, these two are 18 months apart....you'd never know by the size of em :)
