s too! It really was the best birthday I've ever had. Later that week we finished up Zach's preschool. For their last field trip I took them up to my Uncle's house to check out the baby chickens. The kids had a blast! They got to gather eggs, then we let them loose in the pasture to chase the chickens around. It was a lot of fun and reminded me of how much fun I had up there when I was little. The next day was Tyler's field day at school. It was FREEZING! but the kids could have cared less. I think they were worn out from all the races they did, but they had fun. It has been a busy month so far with more to come! I can't believe summer is right around the corner.Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Batter Up!
Well, it is that time of year again. We decided to put Tyler in coach-pitch this year and it has been sooooo much better than t-ball. He loves it even though he thinks it is hard now because he can't hit a homerun every time he is up. His dad gets to help coach so it is even more fun (glad it's him and not me). We love to watch him play and get better each year. I just wanted to post some pictures of him before any more time passes me by and I forget how cute he looks in his uni.....especially when he gets to catch!

Yellowstone Park
We took a little family trip to Yellowstone on Saturday and it turned out to be one of the best trips up there we've ever had. Spencer's wife had never been (she's from Sugar...don't ask) so we took her to see Old Faithful. We had gotten a late start so after waiting for it to go off we headed back. We decided to go north a little farther before going home and it ended up being the best idea we'd had. Eli spotted some wolves! It was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen. There were 4 of them and they were stalking out a herd of buffalo. We watched them come across the meadow one at a time, then sit down and wait. After a while we decided to head home. About a couple miles from the entrance we came across a ton of cars. We hopped out to see what was going on and there was a grizzly across the river. It was so awesome to see. It was sleeping under a tree. We got some good pictures then it got up and came down to the river. It was HUGE! We watched it look for fish for a while then it headed back up the hill. It was a trip to remember. The kids loved it. I'm just thankful we live so close and can head up anytime. I could go any day of the week, it never gets old......Eli makes fun of me but it's ok.

6 months old
Just another reminder of how fast time is flying by. Our little baby is already 6 months old. She is such a happy little girl, I don't think I've ever seen a baby so happy all of the time. Now that I kicked the caffeine and she started solids she is sleeping so much better. Not through the night, but at least more than 2 hours at a time! Allie isn't wasting anytime growing up either. She has been rolling around the house for quite a while now and realized last week that getting up on her knees might be a better idea. Over the weekend she started scooting and now there isn't anything she can't get to. It's so cute to watch her get up on her knees and rock back and forth.....she is quite the mover. I guess when you've got busy brothers running circles around you, you have to do whatever you can to catch up. She is getting a pretty big personality too and has realized that if she does something funny everyone laughs. We can see a lot of Tyler in her......watch out! He hasn't stopped moving since the day he was born and she is headed o
n the same path. We love her so much, she definitely isn't getting robbed of any attention. It is so fun to watch her grow and to watch her brothers pack her around to play with her and dance with her....they'll do anything to make her laugh. What a lucky little girl to have brothers that love her so much! Posted by The Pena family at 7:27 AM 6 comments
